Brush Up on Your Shakespeare with This Live Performance of The Tempest
Summer Shakespeare’s 2016 production of Tempest ran during the month of July. We will be in Medinah, Illinois, for four shows in August and will return to our home venue for a fall reprisal September 1-3.
After a storm shipwrecks his sworn enemies on a mysterious island, the banished Duke Prospero plots revenge—using all the tricks at his disposal. But when romance blossoms between his daughter and one of the castaways, payback gives way to pardon.
Treacherous brothers, love at first sight, a pair of clowns, and one hilarious monster are all a part of Shakespeare’s magical island adventure. Come see this streamlined version of Tempest by the Greenville Shakespeare Company and find out why audiences (for over 400 years!) have been captivated by this tale of romance, revenge, and redemption.
We currently rent the 200-seat black box theatre on the campus Bob Jones University. If you enter the back gate across from Carolina Fabric, you’ll take an immediate right and follow the road to the first building on your right.
Step outside of our welcoming and comfortable community at Thornblade Park Apartments in Greer, South Carolina for the day! This event is coming to town on Saturday, and it promises to be a wonderful time!
